Chaim Mckain
Meet Chaim Mckain who hails from the beautiful Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. His passion for his craft originates from his childhood where he would make pizza from scratch, learn the art of making chicken and rice from his mother, and even learn from an influential home economics teacher, Mrs. Brown, who taught him how to make his now famous macaroni pie.
Chaim came to America in 1996 to play soccer and realized the cuisines he loved growing up were nowhere to be found. He committed to being a student of crafting delicious Caribbean cuisines and perfected his dishes into what they are today.
After a couple career changes, Chaim found himself with the perfect opportunity to open The Island Green at Black Squirrel this year. Chaim is excited to share with the Goshen and golf communities a little piece of his Caribbean roots.
